There's no such thing as hibernating during the winter in the Waskesiu Wilderness Region. The trails are at full throttle from Big River all the way to Lakeland. Swimming in Great Blue Heron Provincial Park

Two beautiful sandy beaches are located at Murray Point, Emma Lake with washrooms and playgrounds within a few meters. Another two beaches are located at Anglin Lake in the Jacobsen Bay picnic area and at Anderson Point campground.  A picnic shelter and wood barbeque offer a great location for an afternoon swim and hot dog roast.
